Terms of Service
By using mockdraftsociety.com you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What Mock Draft Society is
Mock Draft Society lets you make mock drafts, rank prospects, predict how players' careers will go, rank all-time lists, and keep a dated record of those calls. It is free to use, and it is for fun and bragging rights. There is no gambling here. You cannot wager money, nothing on the site is betting advice, and no prizes are paid.
Mock Draft Society, and the Concourse inside it, are run by Fan Concourse LLC (“we” and “us” in these terms).
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- One account per person. Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
3. Published means permanent
When you publish a mock, a list or a prediction, it is locked with the date and time and cannot be edited or deleted. That is what makes a record worth having. You can keep working and publish new versions, and the older ones stay on your ledger with their dates. If you close your account, we take your name off your published records, as explained in the Privacy Policy, but the records themselves stay.
4. What you post
Most of what you make is picked from the site's own player database, so there is little room for trouble. But usernames, display names, group names, names typed into a challenge, comments, and posts and replies in the Concourse are yours to write, and they must not:
- harass, threaten or bully anyone, or target people for who they are;
- pretend to be someone else, including a player, reporter, team or Mock Draft Society;
- be sexual, hateful or illegal, or share someone's private information;
- make up facts or quotes about real people;
- copy other people's work without permission;
- advertise, spam, or link to or promote gambling, including odds, betting lines and picks for money.
The Concourse's rules say the same in plain words, with what happens when something is reported.
Reporting. In the Concourse, every post has Report in its menu. Anywhere else, or if something is about you and should not be there, email contact@mockdraftsociety.com with a link. We may remove or rename content, remove someone from a group, or close accounts that break these rules. Because published records cannot be deleted, removing a published item means taking the offending name or text off it.
5. The Concourse
- Who posts. Posting, replying, quoting and reposting are for members. A free account can read, like, follow, take sides, report, block and mute.
- Founding seats. A founding seat is a free membership we offer by personal invitation. It runs to the date shown when you claim it, one seat per person, and it cannot be sold or passed on. When it ends, your posts stay and posting needs a membership.
- You choose what is posted. Nothing goes up in the Concourse unless you post it. When you lock a call, share a mock or publish a list, we ask whether you want to post it.
- Calling someone on it. Anyone with an account can ask the author of a post to lock a call on what they said. The author can lock it or pass, and either answer, or no answer by kickoff, is shown on the post and their profile.
- No edits. Posts cannot be edited. You can delete your own posts at any time. Deleting a post does not delete a call it carried: the call stays on your ledger, as in section 3.
- Moderation. A post reported by three people leaves For You until a person reviews it. We may take down posts, switch off posting, or close accounts that break these terms or the Concourse's rules.
6. Using the site fairly
Please do not:
- scrape, crawl or copy the site's data in bulk, including prospect data, rankings, crowd numbers and users' records, by any automated means, or use it to build another product;
- use bots or scripts to create accounts, answer challenges, post mocks or posts, or skew crowd numbers;
- try to get around security or rate limits, or get into accounts or data that are not yours;
- overload or disrupt the site.
Sharing your own receipts, screenshots and challenge links is encouraged.
7. Who owns what
Yours: your picks and rankings are yours. By posting them you let us store them, show them on the site as described in the Privacy Policy, include them anonymously in crowd numbers, and show published items (like a receipt) when we promote the site. This permission continues after you close your account, for records that have had your name taken off.
Your posts stay yours too. By posting in the Concourse you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, show and share them on the site and in its link previews, and to let other members quote and repost them here. When you delete a post, we stop showing it.
Copyright. If something on the site uses your work without permission, email contact@mockdraftsociety.com with a link to it, the work it copies, your contact details, and a statement that you believe the use is not authorized. We will take down what should not be here, and close the accounts of people who repeatedly post others' work.
Ours: the site's design, software, the way our prospect and draft data is compiled, and the crowd numbers belong to Fan Concourse LLC. So do the names Mock Draft Society and Concourse.
Theirs: Mock Draft Society is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL, the NCAA, any conference, team or player. Team names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the teams.
8. No guarantees
We work hard to get the data right, and every fact on the site is meant to have a source. But mistakes happen, and draft outcomes are unpredictable. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it.
9. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Fan Concourse LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you have paid us, whichever is greater.
10. Ending things
You can stop using the site and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Your published records stay on the ledger either way, as described in section 3.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also email account holders. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Fan Concourse LLC is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
